Mattress World was started in 1976 in Sumter, South Carolina after my parents retired from military service.

In 1987, we opened our second location in Florence. Our family has centuries of combined knowledge of bedding and have experienced the decades of bedding trends; from innerspring to waterbed and from air to new foams surfaces.

We pride ourselves on stocking a wide array of American Made mattresses. We even carry Madison House, which is made right here in South Carolina.
